Workers need significant wage hike now – MWAP

The Metal Workers Alliance of the Philippines said Filipino workers urgently need a significant wage hike amid the rising prices and economic hardship brought about the Covid 19 pandemic.

“Workers need a significant wage hike now. It is the only way to alleviate the economic hardship of workers and their families experienced way before and during the pandemic. It is the only way that workers can bounce back and adapt in the so-called new normal,” Mary Ann Castillo, MWAP President said.
